Carnivorous (lat. Causes: the Causative agent of this disease is Cryptocarion irritans, which is a kind of analogue of the freshwater “ihti”, parasitic on tropical marine fish. It looks similar to its freshwater counterpart, but smaller (0.5 mm), besides the horse-Shoe macronucleus cryptocaryon malorazlichimyh, while Ichthyophthirius it is visible quite clearly. But the cycles of development and lifestyle of Cryptocarion irritans and Ichthyophthirius multifiliis are the same.
Symptoms: Sick fish dotted with numerous, with a diameter of 0.5 mm, white small knobs. The infestation appears first on the fins, and later goes to the body.
Current: Cryptocarion irritans infects the gills and skin of marine fish. The causative agent is under the top layer of the epithelium is filled with a gelatinous mass of leathery bag.
This pathogen, due to the same lifestyle, same causes harm to as Ichthyophthirius multifiliis.
